10K TT plus AMRAP: 4 burpees, 8 push ups, 12 situps

nope....

Total time: 55:43

M5 9:04 HR150

Felt like I was running through quicksand... Different route this morning. This one has 4 pretty good hills so not really a direct comparison to my last TT or even the Simsbury River Run. What was good about this run? I didn't walk at all. This is not a bad pace for this route — I've run it a million times. What sucked about this run? Legs felt like heavy logs. No zippety in my do da...

Given my perceived effort, my HR looks too low...

AMRAP: 4 burpees, 8 push ups, 12 situps
Competed 15 full rounds in 20:16

The push ups really slowed me down in the later rounds.

  1. You will find your HR to come down over time w/the same effort. I have my 10K today also and in hindsight, should have done it this morning. Oh well, a little rain never hurt me before.

  2. Yeah, but 40 mph winds might slow you down.

There are more measures of effort than your HR -I'm sure you pushed it hard which is the primary goal to the workout. About a month ago I did a run where I could barely get my HR above 139 - a week later I was back in the 160s no problem.

  3. The workouts have been killer Pam. Be proud of not walking and finishing with a respectable time.
